Ten Principles

From shared values ​​to a better world. This motto connects companies and organizations that are a member of the global UN Global Compact and the national Global Compact Network Netherlands.

It requires sustainable business. That means implementing the Ten Principles, as propagated by the United Nations, into every day business. Ten Principles in the pillars of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. An ongoing process of due diligence is an integral part of this. This involves identifying risks in the field of the Ten Principles in the organization and the production chain and subsequently preventing, reducing, remedying or compensating them. In other words, increasing positive impact and reducing negative impact

Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights;

Principle 2:Make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;

Principle 4 : The elimination of all forms of forced & compulsary labour;

Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour;

Principle 6: The Elimination of discrimination in respect of employment & occupation.

Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to enviromental challenges;

Principe 8: Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility;

Principe 9:Encourage the development and diffusion fo environmentally friendly technologies.

Principe 10: Businesses should word against corruption in all it’s forms, including extortion and bribery.
