My name is Marco Swan, 24 years old and I live in Rotterdam.
While growing up I’ve had the fortune to experience many different cultures and build a network of friends from all over the world. By studying in the USA, by being an intern at the embassy in Singapore, and by traveling to countries like Slovakia and Egypt for conferences with my peers. This has instilled within me a sense of global citizenship and equipped me with a feeling of responsibility to make a difference in the world.
For two years I’ve worked for the youth leadership movement AIESEC , and I’m proud to say that through multiple intense team experiences I have contributed directly to 300+ unique leadership experiences through (facilitating) cross-cultural exchange and personal growth. The work I did for AIESEC introduced me to the SDGs and their importance.
The brave vision and idealism represented in the 2030 Agenda have driven me to make it my daily work to strive towards achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals everyday at Global Compact Network Netherlands. I look forward to be working together with you and your organization!
